I think it is only fair if I show the disappointing products of 2016 after my favourites. I had less than last year and hopefully this year I can reduce the numbers of them again. :)
Sugarpill Sparkle Baby Palette - I surprised myself with this on my birthday but unfortunately it didn't impress me. Three of the shades are very chunky and powdery and it takes a lot of work to build them up. The purple shade is lovely though and it became one of my fave eyeshadows. I reviewed it here.
Maybelline Dream Velvet Soft-Matte Hydrating Foundation - I have tried quite a few foundation in the past, and I never hated any of them even if they weren't the best for me but this...this gave me the cakiest effect you can imagine! Whatever I did it didn't look good and I blame the mousse formula. I remember having a mousse foundation when I was a teenager and it wasn't working either. I guess this was my last try.
Sleek Matte Me Lip Creams in Velvet Slipper & Old Hollywood - My Goodness, these are the most horrible lip products a girl can try! Both apply extremely patchy and they are super drying from the second you put them on. I didn't find the old formula amazing either but it was definitely much better than this. It's a real shame these went so wrong because the colours are gorgeous.
I used Old Hollywood in my Chrismas look and it took me about 20 minutes to apply it evenly.
Accessorize Nail Polish in 25 Petrol - I only have a couple of dark polishes so I was eager to try this one but sadly it was another fail. Need at least three coats to get the actual colour you see in the bottle and it applies unevenly as well. Also, it dries down to matte which was another wtf to me and because you need many coats it takes forever until it gets dry properly.
Neutrogena T-Gel Shampoo for greasy hair - Well, I certainly did not expect not having greasy hair ever again but would have been great to postpone my hair wash a day or two. Unfortunately, I didn't notice any difference so I still have to wash my hair every two days, three if I use dry shampoo. This was clearly a waste of money.
Have you tried any of these products? What were your biggest disappointments?
